I've been wanting to work with Jeska for awhile now, and I'm super glad that we managed to achieve it. It's always nice when you're photographing someone and they are completely at ease with your ideas and willing to do anything in order to get the photographs done. It's an extra bonus when they are lovely!
In conversation during the shoot we touched upon something that's really important when photographing lingerie or any form of nude and that's trust. There seems to be this consensus that if you are taking photographs of people in this manner, that it must be a sexual thing. In reality it is the complete opposite of that and perhaps the most a-sexual and professional experience (for myself at least). In the creative field, it is imperative that people trust each other, that the model is able to trust the photographer not to break that creative relationship and vice-versa. It's also important that people's partners respect that it is art, rather than pornography. This is something that can only be achieved if people stick to a code of conduct. I've heard so many horror stories in how photographers have behaved towards women and I think it's time that these acts are quashed so that people who work in a professional manner are able to do so without fear of judgement.
