Some words about what/who inspires me…
I think the main thing that is that I want images to look cinematic but not edited in a way that makes them so. Films have a big impact on me, in particular films that aren’t in your face but more so leave a quiet mark on your skin once they’ve gone. The most recent film that achieved that for me was A Ghost Story and I’m pretty sure its inspiration is evident in these images.

While I wouldn’t consider myself an abstract photographer at all, the work of Deborah Sheedy is definitely inspiring from an emotional perspective. I feel very much like every single photograph that she puts online could be an album or book cover and there’s definitely an element of that that I want to capture in my work.
