Some words about the shots…
I’m still forever finding it difficult to find males to photograph. I don’t know what it is about demographics or whether it’s a South West thing but I only seem to be contacted by white females. Not that it’s a bad thing because it’s just nice to be contacted to photograph people, but I would just love to get a bit more variety in my shots. People hold themselves differently if they are a different gender, a different size, or come from a different background, so I’d love to be able to learn from people in regards to posing as I’m photographing them.
In terms of the shots, we went for a bit of a smart casual vibe and kind of floated between something a bit fun and something a bit more fashion-y. This was the first time I’d tried my ‘new’ vibe of shooting with a more industrial style shoot so I was wondering where and what I was going to do. Parts of it went to plan and other parts perhaps I could have been more focused on in terms of location. It’s all a learning curve though while I change up my portfolio.
