Some words about the shots…
I wasn’t due to be taking any photographs of Sons of Autumn but as I was spending time with the bands drummer on the same day I thought it’d be a good way to test out a fisheye camera lens. The lens itself is 8mm and manual focus, so there was a lot of getting super close which I’d definitely only do with bands I trusted (and vice versa) and probably in quiet venues but I definitely enjoy the vibe.
It’s always good working with lenses that get you out of your comfort zone and I definitely think that this one will do that. I’m looking forward to using it at venues with better lighting and production as well as with portraits.
