This was Sophie’s first proper time of modelling and she totally nailed it. Evidence that someones lack of experience shouldn’t put you off working with them. After all, I think a lot of photography is down to patience of the team you’re working with and a willingness to work towards the goal that you’ve set (if there is one) and Sophie was patient and wanting to be creative the whole time.

Here I had a vague idea and mood board, most of which were experimental shooting through glass shots (as we were using Sophie’s café I knew we’d have an abundance of props) but when you’re experimenting you never know which way things are going to go. I think we’ve ended up with a really mixed set of abstract art and then almost kitsch portraits. It’s probably not the most direct and obvious of collection of images that I’ve taken but sometimes that’s the beauty of it and I think people might get a kick out of some of these images.
