I’m trying my best to work out of my comfort zone and this is leading me towards more sports based things.
This was my first time photographing sports (I’ve photographed more gym based things previously) and the pace of just a practice is just staggering in comparison to everything I’ve done before. Also, there is a sense that if you miss a moment, that’s it, you might not be able to get an incredibly similar frame again so the pressure is definitely on!
I gave my 70-200mm lens a rare outing (as well as using my usual 35mm fujifilm lens on a secondary camera) which definitely helped in terms of focal length, but given that it’s an f4, it’s added noise and made me realise that if this were to be an avenue that I would walk towards then I would definitely not only have to upgrade to an f2.8 but perhaps look at something with a longer scope.
